Revell 04246 FOKKER 100 HELVETIC/KLM/AUSTRIAN

The Fokker 100 is a modern Dutch low-wing passenger plane. The drive is provided by two motors dual-flow Rolls-Royce Tay Mk.650-15 . The prototype flight took place in 1986. Serial production was carried out in 1986-1997. In total, 283 copies of this aircraft were built.

The Fokker 100 was developed as the successor to the quite successful Fokker F28. From its predecessor, it took many elements and design solutions, but at the same time, several significant changes were made to it: first of all, completely new and more reliable engines or much richer avionics were introduced. The structure and profile of the wings were also changed. The number of passengers was also significantly increased (from 65 to 107 people), which resulted in the enlargement of the entire structure - especially the length of the fuselage. In the course of production, several variants of the Fokker 100 were created, for example: Fokker 70 (a smaller version of the basic model), Fokker 100 QC (transport-passenger plane) or Fokker 100 EJ (business version). Ultimately, the Fokker 100 turned out to be a successful aircraft that achieved considerable commercial success.
